We are working with a highly respected transport planning consultancy in Central London, who are looking for a Principal Transport Planner to join their expanding team. This is an excellent chance to work on a range of
exciting
projects, from large-scale developments to high-profile local authority schemes, including the iconic Battersea Power Station.
About the Role:
As a Principal Transport Planner, you will take the lead in
project management
, working closely with senior staff and supporting the delivery of high-quality transport planning services. You will be instrumental in developing and delivering multi-modal access strategies, transport assessments, and other key planning documents for a variety of clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the day-to-day management of projects, working closely with the Project Director.
Supporting and
mentoring junior team
members to ensure their
professional growth
and the successful delivery of projects.
Developing concept studies and feasibility assessments for large master plan sites.
Engaging in client meetings and consultations with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure projects are aligned with planning and transport requirements.
Contributing to business development efforts through bid preparation and fee quotes.
What We’re Looking For:
To be considered for this
exciting
role, you should have:
At least 7 years’ experience in transport planning.
Strong knowledge of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statements.
Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD and Autodesk design software (Auto Track desirable).
Experience in Junction Modelling (e.g., PICADY, ARCADY, LinSIG).
Strongcommunicationskills
and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and your team.
A commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work within deadlines.
