Role Description
The Pricing Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Colombo, responsible for managing and optimizing pricing for logistics services. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing quotations, analyzing cost structures, monitoring market rates, and ensuring pricing aligns with company policies and profitability targets. The role involves close coordination with sales, operations, and finance teams to support competitive bids and key customer proposals. The Pricing Executive will maintain accurate pricing records, update systems and tools, and provide timely pricing-related reports and insights to management. This position also supports customer inquiries on rates and works to improve pricing processes for greater efficiency and consistency.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data and calculate costs and margins accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools for pricing, reporting, and data management.
- Solid understanding of logistics, shipping, or freight operations, or a strong interest in learning the logistics industry.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, operations, and finance teams, and to respond clearly to customer rate inquiries.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple quotations and deadlines simultaneously.
- Relevant educational background in business, finance, economics, logistics, or a related field.
- Prior experience in pricing, finance, sales support, or commercial analysis is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Colombo and adapt to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
