Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage pricing strategies for air, sea, and road freight services.
- Prepare competitive quotations and tenders for customers and partners.
- Negotiate rates and service agreements with carriers, shipping lines, airlines, and suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads in international logistics and freight forwarding markets.
- Coordinate closely with operations teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and industry developments to optimize commercial performance.
- Follow up on quotations, convert opportunities into confirmed business, and achieve sales targets.
- Maintain accurate pricing databases, customer records, and sales reports.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve commercial or service-related issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with overseas agents and global partners to support international freight solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transport regulations, and trade requirements.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our ERP.
- Calculate and verify freight costs, handling charges, and other related costs.
- Proactively identify and resolve any operational issues or delays.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and service providers.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company procedures and industry regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or shipping operations, with specific experience in LCL consolidation being a significant advantage.
- Proven experience working with freight forwarders as clients is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end import/export procedures and documentation (Bill of Lading, Customs Declarations, etc.).
- Good knowledge of Greek customs regulations and port procedures.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
- Computer literate, prior knowledge of ORIAN ERP will be considerd a plus.
- Any additional language would be considered as a plus.
