About the Role
The Preparation Technician position is more than just maintaining equipment—it’s about ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance. Through detailed inspections, timely maintenance, and quick resolution of technical issues, you’ll be pivotal in preparing our fleet for daily operations. This role supports the overall readiness and reliability of our vehicles and contributes to minimizing downtime and enhancing the safety of our logistics network. The shift is 11:00 am -7:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed inspections of accessorial equipment such as chains, binders, straps, and tarps.
Perform inbound inspections and ensure all equipment is safe and functional.
Detail tractors thoroughly to ensure readiness for new drivers.
Utilize a tablet to receive tasks and document maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate work logs and records in line with company and regulatory standards.
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure that preparation tasks are completed on time.
Adhere strictly to safety and compliance regulations.
Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training in automotive or diesel technology is a plus).
Basic mechanical understanding and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.
Effective team player with solid communication skills.
Basic computer and tablet proficiency.
