Overview
ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac is currently searching for a full-time Porter to work in our Preowned Department. This position has a Monday through Friday schedule with regular day hours and full benefits. Located in Ballwin, MO, our Porters/Detailers are responsible for cleaning both the interior and exterior of our vehicles, transporting vehicles on the lot, and assisting with other duties as assigned.
We are an established business with a very professional work environment, and we’re looking for a dependable member to join our team. Porters are members of the Local 618 Teamsters Union, and monthly dues are required.
Responsibilities
The Porter is responsible for the transport and care of the vehicles on the dealership lot. This includes the following duties:
Clean vehicle exterior by hand, brush, or by operating washing equipment.
Polish, dry, and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats, and vacuum the interior by hand.
Make key tags for incoming vehicles.
Transport vehicles safely and without damage on the dealership lot.
May assist with local automobile deliveries.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned (clean lot, empty trash).
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record in the past 3 years (DUI/DWI).
