Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting cement and fly ash cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while maintaining timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
Operate tanker trucks to transport dry freight to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo details as per regulatory requirements.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials, utilizing appropriate equipment.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
Perform minor maintenance on trucks as needed, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
Skills
Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.
Experience operating tanker trucks and understanding of cargo handling.
Familiarity with route driving and navigation in various geographic areas.
Strong understanding of freight regulations and safety standards in the transportation industry.
