Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. This position requires strong communication skills, a keen understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Coordinate and schedule transportation for freight deliveries, ensuring optimal routing and efficiency.
Utilize GPS and dispatching software to track vehicles and monitor delivery progress.
Input and maintain accurate data in Dispatch Me and other relevant systems for fleet management.
Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on delivery status.
Analyze transportation needs and develop plans that align with supply chain objectives.
Handle any issues or delays that arise during the transportation process, providing solutions as needed.
Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to enhance service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience in dispatching or transportation planning is preferred.
Familiarity with GPS technology and dispatching software is essential.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of fleet management principles and supply chain operations.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of organization.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with freight logistics is a plus.
