Capital City Trucking is seeking a Planner to provide efficient and profitable routing for our trucks and drivers.
Great communication, solid decision making, attention to the bottom line and a desire for excellence is the expectation.
Requirements:
· The work schedule for this position is Monday -Friday, starting at 07:00am and ending at 04:00pm.
· 5+ years experience in Trucking/Logistics is required.
· 3+ years experience in OTR irregular route planning is required.
· 3+ years experience in working with brokers & 3PL’s to find appropriate freight is required.
· Must be able to utilize multiple technology systems and platforms.
· Degree preferred but experience is certainly considered instead of a degree
Essential Duties:
· Evaluating available loads and drivers and determining the best use of each.
· Understanding a driver’s available hours of service and maximizing those available hours to efficiently move freight.
· Ensure loads are appropriate for your drivers. Efficiency, utilization and the wise use of your driver’s time is critical.
· Gain a deep understanding of our freight network and work to improve that network by identifying gaps, weaknesses and strengths.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
