Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and passengers, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the integrity of the vehicle. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service, along with the ability to operate various types of vehicles including commercial vehicles, box trucks, and buses.
Duties
Operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods or passengers in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling of freight.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery confirmations.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during pickups and drop-offs.
Assist with paratransit services as needed, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers.
Operate heavy equipment or perform heavy haul tasks when required.
Adhere to company policies regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred.
Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role is highly desirable.
Familiarity with operating various types of vehicles including buses (school bus driving experience is a plus), box trucks, and heavy equipment.
Strong knowledge of local roads and routes to ensure efficient navigation.
Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.

Pay: $21.70 – $22.79 per hour
