Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and hands-on Shipper/Receiver to support our warehouse and shipping operations 3 days per week. This position is ideal for someone with at least 3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience who is comfortable working in a small-business environment and taking ownership of daily warehouse tasks.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, physically capable of handling packages, and experienced with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order preparation.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, count, and organize incoming shipments
- Prepare, pack, label, and ship customer orders accurately
- Load and unload packages and freight
- Manage shipping and receiving documentation
- Verify orders against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with inventory organization
- Pull and prepare orders for shipment
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and resolve shipping issues or discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve shipping disputes, missing packages, damaged shipments, and delivery issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments
- Assist with purchasing, supplies, and basic warehouse administrative duties
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and carriers professionally
- Enter and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory information in computer systems
- Assist with general operational tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience
- Hands-on experience handling packages and freight
- Experience with shipping and receiving procedures and documentation
- Strong inventory-control skills
- Ability to lift, move, and organize packages and warehouse materials
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and dependable
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to identify problems and take initiative to resolve them
Preferred
- Experience with UPS, FedEx, USPS, freight carriers, or shipping platforms
- Forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment experience
- Experience with QuickBooks or other business software
- Previous experience in a small-business warehouse/office environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Schedule
Part-time — 3 days per week.
Specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview.
Compensation
$20–$22 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
