Job Profile and Description: CDL Driver
Reports to:
Owner, General Superintendent
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge of the working conditions to include physical requirements necessary to perform this job. The Concrete Foreman role is essential and assists the Project Manager in ensuring timely and successful completion of construction projects.
Essential Job Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements, including but not limited to:
Safe and Efficient Driving: Must have a valid Commercial Drivers license and clean driving record. Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, or other specified vehicles, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Route Planning and Navigation: Plan routes, follow instructions, and use GPS or maps to navigate to designated destinations.
Loading and Unloading: Load and unload cargo, using equipment such as forklifts, liftgates, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identify and report any mechanical issues, and ensure the vehicle is maintained in a safe and operable condition.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of mileage, deliveries, and other relevant information, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and up-to-date.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, including interacting with customers in a professional manner.
Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members, following company procedures and protocols.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws, ensuring a safe and responsible driving environment.
Log Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Cargo Security: Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or loss during transit.
Reporting: Report any defects, accidents, or violations to the appropriate authorities.
Other Duties: May be required to perform other duties as assigned, such as assisting with loading/unloading, or maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
