Overview
We are seeking motivated Owner Operators to join our dynamic team and drive success in the transportation of freight, this role offers the opportunity to operate your own tractor while partnering with a company that values your independence and expertise. Duties
- Operate tractor across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely delivery of freight including
- Safely load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring compliance with truck loading and unloading procedures
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption
- Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods
- Manage delivery driving tasks with precision, including truck loading/unloading, securing loads, and verifying cargo accuracy
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance needs to ensure optimal truck performance
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automotive cargo (no touch freight), route driving, and freight delivery procedures
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with endorsements relevant to the type of freight transported (e.g., Hazmat endorsement if applicable)
- Strong understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials handling standards
- Experience with E-Logs, GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking
- Prior experience in delivery driving or automobile transportation is a plus
