Duties
Operate various types of trucks, including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
Load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring the safety of the cargo and compliance with regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
Navigate routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other necessary documentation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Skills
Proficient in truck driving with experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
Ability to load and unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment as needed.
Familiarity with various types of trailers including flatbeds and refrigerated units.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to transportation and freight handling.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
