Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their driving skills and are committed to delivering freight safely and efficiently. As an Owner Operator, you will have the flexibility of managing your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries across various routes. Your expertise in operating different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and tankers, will be essential to our operations.
Duties
Operate and drive commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and refrigerated trailers, to transport freight to designated locations.
Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Manage freight loading and unloading, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery logs.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to commercial driving.
Requirements
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
Experience with route driving and familiarity with various freight types, including tankers and refrigerated trailers.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving.
Ability to lift heavy loads as required during loading and unloading processes.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
A commitment to maintaining a clean driving record and passing background checks as required.
