Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of freight across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in truck driving, with experience in operating different types of vehicles including refrigerated trailers and dump trucks. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for managing your own vehicle while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
Safely operate power only with either attached Hopper and or Sand Box to designated locations.
Load and unload “Sand” efficiently, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
Maintain accurate logs (We use Paper Logs)-of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by regulations.
Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Experience
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and other types of freight vehicles.
Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and freight handling procedures.
Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
