Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for transporting freight across various routes while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to manage your own business operations effectively.
Duties
Operate a variety of vehicles including flatbed trucks, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks for transporting freight.
Execute route driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Manage maintenance and repairs of your truck to ensure optimal performance.
Handle freight loading and unloading as required, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for flatbed, tanker, or refrigerated trailer operation preferred.
Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of manual transmission operation.
Familiarity with route driving and logistics management.
Ability to operate various types of freight vehicles safely and efficiently.
Strong organizational skills to manage paperwork and compliance documentation effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
