Salary: €55,000 – €70,000
Our client, a growing logistics company with a strong focus on FTL and project cargo transport, is seeking a skilled Overland Operator to join their team in Frankfurt. This role combines operational responsibility for overland transport across Eastern Europe with a strong emphasis on key account management.
The ideal candidate will have a hands-on mindset, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with both customers and carriers.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate FTL overland transport operations across Eastern Europe
Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
Negotiate rates and secure capacity with transport service providers
Handle pricing requests, tenders, and RFQs from NGOs, corporate clients, and government institutions
Identify opportunities for new business and support the development of tailored transport solutions
Collaborate with internal teams and international partners to ensure seamless operations
Monitor market trends and contribute to the strategic development of overland services
Profile
Professional experience in overland transport, freight forwarding, or logistics – ideally with a focus on Eastern Europe
Strong communication and client management skills
Proven track record in carrier procurement and rate negotiation
Experience working on tenders or public procurement projects is an advantage
Fluent in German and English; additional Eastern European languages are a plus
Solution-oriented, proactive, and culturally adaptable
Offer
Salary – €55,000 – €70,000 depending on experience
