Role Description This is a full-time remote Over The Road (OTR) CDL Driver role, operating primarily with flatbed trailers over long distances. The driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and complying with all federal, state, and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include securing flatbed loads, and communicating effectively with dispatch for route planning and updates. The role involves delivering freight on schedule, monitoring vehicle condition, reporting maintenance needs, and providing professional customer service at pickup and delivery locations. Drivers are expected to manage time efficiently, follow company safety protocols, and adapt to varying routes and weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record; experience with over-the-road or regional flatbed hauling preferred.
- Strong skills in vehicle operation, load securement, and basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance checks.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and safe driving practices across multiple states.
- Ability to read and follow route plans, use GPS or electronic logging devices, and maintain accurate trip documentation.
- Good communication skills for working with dispatch, customers, and team members; professional and reliable work ethic.
- Physical ability to handle chaining, and securing loads; ability to work in varying weather and road conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in truck driving or logistics is a plus.
- Willingness to undergo background checks, motor vehicle record review, and drug and alcohol testing as required.
