Over, Short, & Damages Claims Clerk
Location: Kansas City, KS
Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30AM-4:30PM
Department: Traffic
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for all non-produce-controlled freight discrepancies received into all
divisions.
Communicating disposition to all relevant internal/external departments including
Vendor, Carriers, Procurement and Warehouses regarding disposition.
Monitor and maintain all damaged product in the “hold” area in all warehouses.
Calculate the cost of goods and all relevant freight expenses.
Document all paperwork for future scanning and enter data into the Transportation
Management System to protect any disputes of charges.
Record all claim information for reporting.
Position Requirements:
Ability to process over, short and damage claims timely and accurately
Must be detail oriented
Must be able to research and solve problems
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of transportation or logistics, and claims experience helpful
Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
