Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL A Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to delivery schedules.
Duties
Operate and drive different types of trucks, including flatbed, dryvan, and refrigerated trailers.
Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods.
Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
Skills
Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Familiarity with operating forklifts and handling freight.
Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation systems.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
Strong problem-solving abilities in case of unexpected delays or issues during transit.
Good physical stamina for loading/unloading freight and long hours on the road.
