We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight across various routes while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. As an Owner Operator, you will manage your own vehicle while collaborating with our logistics team to optimize routes and enhance efficiency.
Responsibilities
Operate various types of trucks including flatbed, dump truck, refrigerated trailer, and tanker vehicles.
Execute route driving for the timely delivery of freight to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
Manage loading and unloading of cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Utilize manual transmission vehicles when necessary, demonstrating proficiency in driving various truck types.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
Familiarity with route planning and navigation systems.
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the type of vehicle operated.
Experience operating flatbed trucks, dump trucks, refrigerated trailers, or tankers is preferred.
Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.
Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
