We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and have the ability to operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers and roll-off trucks. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service while transporting freight across designated routes.
Duties
Operate and drive a variety of vehicles including tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and others as required.
Ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight to designated locations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made in accordance with DOT regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Utilize manual transmission vehicles when necessary, demonstrating proficiency in truck driving skills.
Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading cargo at various locations.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in route driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
Experience with various truck types including tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and forklifts is preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
