Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service. As an Owner Operator, you will manage your own vehicle and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. This position requires a strong commitment to quality driving practices and the ability to handle various types of cargo.
Responsibilities
Safely operate and maintain your own truck for the transportation of goods.
Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Navigate routes efficiently, adhering to delivery schedules.
Operate various types of trailers including flatbed, refrigerated, tanker, and roll-off trucks.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other pertinent information.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding commercial driving.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid license (CDL Preferred).
Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
Familiarity with loading/unloading procedures for various types of freight.
Experience with route driving and navigating using GPS systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
Commitment to safety practices in all aspects of driving.
Owner Operator will receive 70% compensation for each load executed.
