Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers. This role involves transporting freight efficiently and safely while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. A strong commitment to safety and customer service is essential.
Duties
Operate different types of trucks, including dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
Perform route driving to deliver goods to various locations.
Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
Manage manual transmission vehicles effectively when required.
Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience in truck driving, particularly with dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation skills.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
Commitment to safety practices in all aspects of driving.
