Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires proficiency in operating different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, roll-off trucks, and dump trucks. The Truck Driver will ensure that freight is loaded and unloaded properly while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Duties
Operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, roll-off trucks, and dump trucks.
Drive long distances to deliver goods to clients or distribution centers.
Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Manage manual transmission vehicles when necessary.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of freight transportation.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and perform basic maintenance checks on the truck.
Experience with loading and unloading procedures for various types of freight.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
