Job Description
The Customs Broker Entry Writer is responsible for preparing and processing import documentation required by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This role ensures accurate and timely submission of entries, classification of goods, and compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of customs procedures, HTS classification, and international trade regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and submit accurate customs entries for import shipments
Classify goods using the HTSUS and ensure proper documentation
Communicate with CBP, carriers, freight forwarders, and clients
Monitor shipment status and resolve any customs-related issues
Maintain compliance with all U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency regulations (USDA and FDA)
Basic Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in customs entry writing (preferred)
Working knowledge of HTS classification and entry procedures
Familiarity with ACE, ABI systems, and relevant documentation
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Customs Broker License is a plus, but not required
Strong knowledge in USDA and FDA process and procedure
