Operations Specialist
Reports To (Supervisor/Hiring Manager Title): COO – Assets
Onsite 100%
Position Overview/Job Description: In this position you will coordinate, schedule, and manage local & regional assets to support client freight needs. Utilizing a cross-dock, you will have strategic resources to create solutions, improve customer experience, and be a valuable source for growing business at LTR. Aligning with internal and external departments, you will collaborate and communicate to cover tasks and responsibilities congruent with Operations management of an asset company.
Responsibilities:
Independently manage company owned assets and drivers to execute freight requests for customers, locally and regionally
Verify pricing and paperwork accuracy on documents and within systems
Ensure shipping requirements and regulations are met
Collaborate with Corporate and internal departments to execute tasks
Utilize company and external systems to complete necessary paperwork and execute so customers can be invoiced
Notify customers and sales team if shipments are delayed
Ensure drivers are utilizing Tracking systems, ELDs, and documenting trips
Communicate with sales any challenges on booked freight
Consult with management, providing insight into the overall performance of customers and the opportunities/strategy to grow the relationship
Create and utilize analytics to monitor and manage overall performance and achievement towards set goals
Qualifications:
Previous dispatching and trucking operations experience
Developing customers and pricing will be expected.
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (strong Excel knowledge is a plus) and ERP systems
Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
Exceptional analytical thinking, problem solving and organizational skills
Self-motivated and self-directed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education Requirements: High School Diploma required.
Salary/Hourly Rate: Depending on experience.
