Our Wenatchee, WA Terminal is hiring immediately for a Logistics Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Plans, directs, coordinates and controls the freight operations of an agent and/or company terminal with company objectives for-profit services. Specifically involved in line haul loading and management within the scope of operations as assigned by Region Operations level or above.
Directs all management functions in the scope of operations assigned. Coordinates the work of operations activities by overseeing company business in such areas as: pickup and delivery operations, dock operations, night operations, inbound and outbound road operations, company office andequipment maintenance.
Initiates, compiles and disseminates information and statistics relative to the operational problems and costs within the scope of operations assigned.
Selects and recommends personnel for various positions and trains assigned personnel to become knowledgeable and understand Midwest system of operation, according to the position applied for.
Responsibilities include manpower planning and employment (labor cost control – cost performance per man hour). Provides continuous training to their own people within the terminal or within their field of duty.
Formulates policies, programs, and procedures for Midwest’s transportation system including schedules, routes, assignment of drivers, vehicles and other company operations.
Various other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
4 year college degree or equivalent experience
2+ years transportation experience in supervisor or above capacity
Excellentcommunicationand customer service skills
Computer skills – AS400 experience, email, Excel, data entry, etc.
