Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily operations which include the scrutiny of contracts, preparation activities relating to payment security, documentation, insurance, survey, agency appointment, etc.
Implementation of trading operation for spot and term contracts for middle distillates products
Liaise closely with external stakeholders, including but not limited to terminal owners and counterparties on timely product loading
Ensure timely communication of the cargo nomination
Ensure timely updates of trade information into the trading system
Ensure smooth running for trade finance and billing related activities
Prepare, monitor, and verify invoices and documents for payment
Maintain the database of operational information on a daily basis for analysis and reporting purposes
Collaborate with team members and build productive working relationships with internal stakeholders i.e. Traders, Shipping Dept, Contracts/legal, finance, refineries, terminals, HQ
Maintain excellent relationships with counterparties
Requirements
Preferred experience in commodity cargo operations in an oil major or trading house
Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese is an added advantage, as the successful candidate will be required to read and write Chinese documents and engage with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and quantitative skills
Proven team player, proactive
Able to manage time well, work under pressure
Ability to optimize the cargo flow and system
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
