Job Description:
We are seeking a full time Operations employee who would work primarily as a freight broker and become proficient in the day to day task of operating a growing transportation company. These tasks would include:
Taking freight orders from established customers
Searching for and contracting with carriers
Negotiating freight rates
Dispatching carriers
Anticipating and resolving potential customer service and carrier problems
Tracking shipments
Generating sales leads
Qualifications and skills required:
Bachelor’s degree
Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems
Superior communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask
Ability to adapt to changing requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Willingness to learn
No transportation experience required.
