Position Overview
SGL is seeking a skilled Ocean Product Pricing Analyst to join our team. We’re looking for a highly motivated, passionate, and experienced professional who will play a key role in developing competitive pricing strategies and fostering strong relationships with station managers. This position will collaborate closely with the Ocean Freight team to support and manage high-volume opportunity requests across the North America region.
Job Responsibilities
Complete and submit assigned RFQ tenders, upon guidance from Ocean Product management, ensuring competitive bids from ocean carriers and selecting vendors that offer the best balance of cost, service, and reliability
Support key product initiatives on regional and global level
Address service-related issues with ocean carriers, such as delays, capacity shortages, or poor service levels, to ensure that disruptions are minimized
Execute strategies which support the growth of ocean volumes, and enhance the development of the ocean product.
Responsible for supporting carrier development, pricing, analyzing of carrier service, routings, carrier performance, and supporting carrier service issues.
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
Minimum 1 year of experience in ocean freight forwarding
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
Experience from project management, process development or process mapping (preferred)
Strong business acumen
High level of being self-driven and continuously raising the ambition for the product and company in general.
Strong communication skills and higher business level in writing and speaking English
Team player
Proficient user in MS Office, especially Excel
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Work Authorization/security Clearance Requirements
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must pass TSA eligibility screening

$21.63 to $26.44 Hourly
