This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ocean import professional who enjoys managing shipments from origin through to final delivery while providing exceptional customer service. This is a hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate international ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery.
- Communicate with overseas agents, ocean carriers, customers, truckers, warehouses, and customs brokers.
- Prepare and review import documentation including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices.
- Coordinate customs clearance and work closely with customs brokers to ensure timely release of cargo.
- Arrange final delivery and coordinate drayage and inland transportation.
- Track shipments proactively and provide customers with regular status updates.
- Accurately enter and maintain shipment information within CargoWise.
- Ensure all files are completed accurately and invoiced in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in international freight forwarding.
- Previous experience handling ocean import shipments.
- Strong working knowledge of ocean import documentation and freight forwarding processes.
- Experience using CargoWise is required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
