Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate international ocean export shipments from booking through to vessel departure.
- Communicate with overseas agents, ocean carriers, customers, truckers, warehouses, and other service providers.
- Prepare and review export documentation including Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
- Coordinate export bookings with ocean carriers and ensure cargo is delivered to the appropriate terminal within required cut-off times.
- Arrange and coordinate drayage, container pickups, and inland transportation.
- Prepare and submit export documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements.
- Track shipments proactively and provide customers with regular status updates.
- Accurately enter and maintain shipment information within CargoWise.
- Ensure all files are completed accurately and invoiced in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in international freight forwarding.
- Previous experience handling ocean export shipments.
- Strong working knowledge of ocean export documentation and freight forwarding processes.
- Experience using CargoWise is required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
