Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end ocean export shipments, including FCL & LCL
- Book cargo with ocean carriers and overseas agents
- Prepare and review export documentation, including BOLs, AES, commercial invoices, and packing lists
- Arrange trucking, vessel bookings, and shipment scheduling
- Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, overseas offices, and customers
- Ensure compliance with export regulations and company procedures
- Resolve shipment issues and maintain accurate records in the freight forwarding system
Requirements
- 2+ years of ocean export freight forwarding experience
- Strong knowledge of FCL, LCL, export documentation, and AES filings
- Previous experience working for an international freight forwarder
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments
- CargoWise or similar freight forwarding system experience preferred
