CDL Class A Tractor-Trailer Driver – Hazmat Endorsement
National Packaging Services, Inc. – Secaucus, NJ
National Packaging Services is looking for a dependable and safety-conscious CDL Class A Tractor-Trailer Driver with a current Hazmat endorsement. This is a full-time union position operating company-owned tractors, trailers, and equipment.
The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, with occasional overtime or weekend work based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-owned tractors, trailers, and related equipment
- Pick up and deliver freight according to assigned schedules
- Transport hazardous materials in compliance with DOT requirements
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Properly secure and verify loads before departure
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery documents, and inspection records
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management
- Follow all company, DOT, federal, state, and local safety requirements
- Keep assigned equipment clean and report any mechanical or safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Authorization to work in the US
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Current Hazardous Materials endorsement
- Valid DOT medical certificate
- Acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of DOT safety and hazardous-material transportation requirements
- Ability to safely operate a tractor-trailer in warehouse yards and customer locations
- Dependable attendance and strong communication skills
- Ability to complete required paperwork accurately
- Minimum of three years of recent, active tractor-trailer driving experience is required
- Language: English (Required)
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Typical eight-hour shift
- Occasional overtime or weekend work as needed
- Company-owned and maintained equipment
Compensation and Benefits
