Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules across multiple locations.
- Transport refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (Hazmat), or other specialized freight such as tanker or flatbed loads while following hazardous materials regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including checking for mechanical issues, proper load securement, and compliance with safety standards.
- Deliver freight accurately to customers’ locations, providing excellent customer service during drop-offs and pickups.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo handling activities in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is preferred.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat) is a plus.
- Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely.
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling and truck loading/unloading procedures.
- Excellent navigation skills utilizing GPS systems for efficient route planning.
- Adherence to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards during operations.
- Prior experience with freight delivery on over-the-road routes preferred but not required; a commitment to safety and punctuality is essential.

Pay: $2,700.00 – $2,927.73 per week
