Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service.
Duties
Operate a 26ft dock high box truck to deliver general freight.
Travel over the road in IN, IL, KY, OH, and MI. (May be home several nights a week.)
Perform route driving to ensure timely deliveries.
Handle heavy lifting and loading/unloading of products using equipment such as pallet jacks.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Navigate routes effectively, utilizing maps or GPS systems to optimize delivery times.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle used for deliveries.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading processes.
Follow all safety protocols while driving and handling materials.
Qualifications
A valid driver’s license is required.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving route driving.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely (up to 50 pounds).
Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving.
