Overview
On the Road Hotshot Truck Driver. This will be a 4-6 day a week position (flexible week to week schedule we will discuss in interview). Pay is not hourly but rather is a percentage of profits (roughly 35% depending on experience) which means pay will vary week by week.
Payment schedule is flexible and can be weekly or Bi-Weekly.
Our company is newer to the industry with an authority age of 120+ Days. Looking for a driver ready to help grow the company and grow into a different leadership position as we expand our fleet in the near future.
Currently there will be no hotels provided, sleeper in the truck. We will provide a company card for on the job related expenses and showers at truck stops.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Hotshot Truck and trailer in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Training can be provided and discussed during interview.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and load & unload tools
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and proper functioning before each route
- Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations ensuring accurate order fulfillment
- Adhere to scheduled routes by planning efficient driving paths and managing time effectively
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs using mobile devices or onboard systems (Paper Log Books are in use for our trucks)
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly (Many times our dispatcher will need to contact our drivers to confirm details with the shipper must be willing and flexible in picking up the phone when needed)
Skills
- Proven experience or knowledge of load securement as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on safe driving practices.
- Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks and moving heavy loads safely
- Familiarity with manual handling techniques for heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving, weight handling in the workplace, and route driving safety standards (Much of which can be provided during training)
- Ability to operate mobile devices for navigation, communication, and record keeping during deliveries
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including load & unload procedures and manual handling procedures
- Excellent driving skills with adherence to traffic regulations, safety protocols, and company policies (Please go to your local BMV and request a history of your driving record/Ticket record and be able to provide it upon request)
