Municipal Services Truck Driver
Department: Public Works
Status: Full time permanent
Salary: $61,111.40 per annum to start, 40‑hour/week
Settlement Allowance: $20,907.43 per annum
Union Status: Unionized
Reporting to: Municipal Services Foreman
As a Municipal Services Truck Driver, you are responsible for the safe operation of municipal services vehicles to ensure the timely delivery of various municipal services to customers. The role requires reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work in environments with strong odors caused by sewage and waste.
Responsibilities
- Operate municipal service trucks safely and efficiently.
- Ensure timely delivery of services to customers.
- Work under time constraints and within a team atmosphere.
- Follow instructions promptly and perform duties safely and quickly.
Qualifications
- Grade 10 level education or equivalent.
- Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
- Previous municipal experience preferred.
- Willingness to work weekends and extra hours to meet delivery schedules.
- Valid Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
- Ability to work in environments with strong odors.
