Position: MQ-9 UAS Pilot II (Kaneohe, HI)
The UAS Pilot II will act as pilot in command (PIC) of MQ-9 aircraft and provide safe operation of the aircraft in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Participate in all phases of flight, including planning/briefing, execution, debrief, and crew resource management.
Adhere to specific military, civilian, and ICAO flight rules, including compliance with FAA regulations.
Provide expertise in the operation of unmanned aircraft.
Develop briefing and training materials to support flight operations.
Plan and perform a wide range of systems and equipment operations under various ambient and environmental conditions.
Collaborate with US Government organizations and OEMs to facilitate safe and efficient UAS integration into the NAS, ensuring safety and capacity are maintained.
Support UAS integration efforts without compromising existing airspace safety or capacity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have an active Top-Secret US Government clearance. US Citizenship required for a Secret Clearance.
BA/BS in engineering, business, logistics, management, math, sciences, or professional aeronautics from an accredited institution with 5+ years of relevant military experience.
At least one year of MQ-9 pilot duties in US Naval/USAF UAS operations within the last 10 years.
Qualified MQ-9 Pilot or previously qualified within the last 3 years (Form
8).
At least 50 hours as MQ-9 Pilot-In-Command (PIC).
Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate or DOD equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional interfacing.
Ability to work extended hours and travel as needed.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Qualified MQ-9 Line of Sight Launch and Recovery (LOS L/R) Pilot or previously qualified within the last 3 years.
Operational experience at a deployed location as an MQ-9 Pilot within the last 5 years.
