Position: Motor Vehicle Operator (Laborer)

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Office of the Chief Engineer, Construction Division, Construction Branch. The individual is a Motor Vehicle Operator performing driving and operating duties on a variety of motor vehicles and equipment and also performs diverse construction laborer duties, including assisting with demolition and clean-up at construction sites, erecting scaffolding, using carpentry tools, etc.

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.

You must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of the job announcement.

You must meet the following SCREEN-OUT(S) required for this position.

Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.

Must possess a valid, unexpired Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsements.

Must current possess a good driving record. Possession of a good driving record is included in the suitability process. Maintenance thereof is a condition of continued employment. Failure to maintain a good driving record will result in termination. (NOTE. The selected candidate will be required to provide a “certified” copy of their driving record at the time of notification of selection).

Ability to lift, push and pull heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs. or more without assistance.
