Materials & Supply Chain Coordinator Jobs in Waynesboro, PA at BMP Doors USA

About BMP Doors USA:
We build high-speed industrial doors in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. We are the American operation of BMP Group, an Italian manufacturer that makes more than 25,000 doors a year and sells in twelve countries. Our doors go into food plants, cold storage, clean rooms, distribution centers, and heavy industry, where a door that is slow or unreliable costs a customer money every hour of every shift.

The US operation is growing, and it is still small enough that one person can change how it runs.

Why BMP Doors USA?

At BMP, this is not a small role hidden inside a large supply chain department. Your decisions directly influence whether Production has the materials it needs and whether our customers receive their orders on time. As BMP Doors USA continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to shape and improve how our supply chain operates. We are looking for someone who wants responsibility, likes making things work better, and takes pride in being someone the organization can depend on.

The Role:

BMP Doors USA is looking for a hands-on Materials & Supply Chain Coordinator who understands manufacturing, thinks ahead, and enjoys solving problems. This is not a desk-only purchasing role. You will work across Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations, while coordinating directly with our international supply partners. The team you lead is small, so this is a working leadership role. On a heavy shipping day you will be on the dock with them rather than watching from an office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan material and inventory requirements based on sales forecasts and production needs.
  • Determine what needs to be purchased, when it needs to be ordered, and when it needs to arrive.
  • Manage purchasing and follow up on open orders, shortages, and supplier commitments.
  • Work closely with our Italian parent company and other suppliers to keep materials moving on time.
  • Coordinate with the shipping and receiving team, overseeing day-to-day activities, and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Lead the team in coordinating freight, truckloads, and required shipping and customs documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and own Bill of Material accuracy.
  • Direct the team in managing short shipments, damaged or defective materials, and supplier discrepancies.
  • Identify potential shortages early and communicate clearly with the departments affected.
  • Continuously improve inventory levels, material availability, and supply chain efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in materials, inventory, purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading a shipping and receiving team, a warehouse group, or an equivalent hourly team.
  • Strong understanding of inventory and material planning.
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems and good Excel skills.
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, and follow-through.
  • Clear communication across departments and with suppliers.
  • International purchasing or logistics experience is a strong advantage.
  • Experience managing inventory levels, supplier performance, and material availability through data-driven decision making.

You Will Thrive in This Role If You:

  • Like ownership rather than waiting for instructions.
  • Think several steps ahead.
  • Enjoy combining planning with hands-on operational work.
  • Investigate when numbers or inventory levels do not make sense.
  • Prefer solving root causes instead of repeating the same fix.
  • Are comfortable dealing directly with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Like improving systems and processes.
  • Want your work to have a visible impact on the business.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • FSA and HSA medical spending accounts.
  • Paid vacation and company holidays.
  • Leadership visibility and career advancement opportunities.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, vision, prescription and life insurance coverage for employees.
  • 401(k) with company match up to 4% of your paycheck.
  • Strong growth opportunity within a global manufacturing group.
  • Direct impact on building and scaling a modern factory.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k) matching
  • Dental insurance
  • Flexible spending account
  • Health insurance
  • Health savings account
  • Life insurance
  • Vision insurance
