HR Job Title: Manager, Clinical Supply Chain Logistics, APAC Network
Division: Global Product Development & Supply (GPS) / Global Supply Chain (GSC) / Clinical Supply Chain (CSC)
Functional Area Description: Clinical Supply Chain Logistics (CSCL)
Position Summary:
Oversee operations across a network of distribution centers, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and supporting the distribution needs of BMS clinical trials for Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs).
Position Responsibilities
Vendor and Partner Management:
Work with 3rd party and internal partners to drive the evolution of capabilities, capacity, additional services, and contract structures to reflect the changing nature of the BMS portfolio, business model, and evolving regulations.
Support overall warehousing, transportation, and packaging vendor relationship management.
Support strategic outsourcing decision-making, including RFP activities in alignment with global BMS Logistics, Procurement, Contract Management, EHS, Security, and Quality groups.
Provide expert input to warehousing and transportation requirements during BMS procurement activities.
Quality and Compliance:
Ensure logistics activities comply with standard operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices, Good Documentation Practices, company valuation policies, and all relevant national and international regulations.
Collaborate with Global Quality to ensure all Quality System elements are in place and Quality deliverables are achieved.
Initiate, investigate, and close Quality Events, CAPAs, and Change Controls in collaboration with Quality.
Support internal audits and external inspections as required.
Develop or update procedural documents as required.
Metrics and Analysis:
Support the collection of relevant metrics, conduct analysis to support budget and expense management, vendor performance management, and continuous improvement goals.
Cross-Functional Projects:
Participate in cross-functional projects supporting improvements in logistics or other areas as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement across distribution support activities, such as optimizing global freight, depot network, customer support, and distribution capabilities.
Operational Process ownership:
Accountable for assigned Global Operational Processes (e.g. Patient Approved Access, Country Requirements, Use Date Extension, etc)
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant field (science, engineering, supply chain, business administration)
Experience Requirements:
+ 5 years of Clinical Supply Chain experience
Key Competency Requirements:
Proven experience in supply chain management, distribution operations, or a related field.
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
In-depth knowledge of distribution strategies, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to develop and implement effective procedures and training programs.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in supply chain and logistics management.
