Role Description
- Manage air and sea import clearance processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate with shipping line, Airlines, Transporter, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth clearance procedures.
- Conduct pre-shipment activities such as booking space, arranging transportation, and coordinating logistics.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and laws related to imports, including DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) guidelines.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise during the clearance process.
- Coordination with Operation staff at Port/ ICD for smooth clearance of cargo.
- Achieved Departmental Budget and Service Excellence in coordination with other stakeholders.
- Having on hand experience of Import Freight Forwarding activities,
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of air and sea import procedures, customs clearance processes, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Experience managing documentation for import shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and compliance certificates.
- Proficiency in coordinating with customs, port authorities, airlines, shipping lines to ensure smooth clearance.
- Ability to lead and mentor operational teams, allocate tasks effectively, and monitor performance against service-level standards.
- Prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics, particularly in import clearance operations, preferably in a managerial capacity.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
