Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods over long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all transportation regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to manage various types of freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers.
Responsibilities
Operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods across long distances.
Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries as required by regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high standard of safety on the road.
Manage various types of freight including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tankers as needed.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of long-haul transportation.
Familiarity with operating forklifts and handling different types of cargo.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during long trips.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations on the road.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Must be able to pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
