Who We Are
 Nederland USA, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of the Nederland Group based in Spain. We are a third-generation family-owned cocoa processing company, producing high-quality cocoa products (cocoa butter, cocoa liquor, and cocoa powders) used as ingredients in the food and personal care industries.
 Founded in Barcelona in 1935, we now operate two factories in Spain and one in Ivory Coast. In 2018, as part of our international growth strategy, we established Nederland USA in Chicago to increase our market share and expand our footprint in North America.
The Role
 We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused professional to join our North American team in Chicago. The selected candidate will support our U.S. supply chain operations and collaborate on various administrative and operational tasks, helping implement efficient processes and best practices.
 We’re seeking someone with strong organizational skills, data integrity awareness, a willingness to learn new skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
What you will do
 The selected candidate will manage day-to-day operations and projects within the Supply Chain department while also supporting administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include:
Scheduling all inbound shipments (domestic and international) in a timely manner. Coordinating and evaluating transportation partners and recommending best practices for safe and efficient shipping.
Tracking shipments from origin to our U.S. warehouses. Keeping internal teams and customers informed with regular updates.
Managing existing supplier agreements and identifying new logistics and warehousing solutions. Negotiating contracts and freight rates. Staying informed about transport classifications and regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to evaluate logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
Prioritizing and executing daily inbound shipment schedules.
Handling freight invoices and processing claims for damages or discrepancies. Documenting issues and working with suppliers to resolve recurring problems.
Overseeing import documentation flow between suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers. Supporting cost-saving initiatives across global shipping operations.
Managing and processing outbound shipments for customer orders, including invoicing and delivery tracking.
Participating in cross-functional projects and operational tasks. As a small but growing company, we value collaboration, multitasking, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferrer Experience & Skills
3+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain (preferred). Experience in the food industry is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Native or bilingual level of Spanish (required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
Comfortable with learning new order management software.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proactive, solution-oriented, and hands-on attitude.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
