Position Overview:
We’re hiring a Material Handler to support a Cell Therapy Facility in Devens, MA. This position plays a key role in ensuring seamless material operations, including receiving, sampling, warehousing, and delivery of materials. You’ll work in both general and GMP environments with opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and physical setting, including lifting and operating material handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Logistics
- Receive, sample, clean, kit, deliver, and warehouse materials
- Operate forklifts, box trucks (up to 24 ft), and other material handling equipment
- Pick materials from heights up to 25 ft (fall protection provided)
- Prepare and ship domestic/international (including hazardous) materials
- Wear PPE and gown into GMP areas; respirator use may be required
Inventory & Documentation
- Complete GMP forms and batch records
- Perform SAP inventory transactions and ensure accuracy
- Author and follow SOPs
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with QC, QA, Manufacturing, and external vendors (e.g., delivery drivers)
- Support CAPAs and process improvement efforts
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4+ years of experience in material handling or warehousing (GMP preferred)
- Proficiency with MS Office and SAP (or similar inventory system)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, bend, and operate in physically demanding settings
- Valid Driver’s License
Preferred:
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree
- Certifications (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD)
- CDL and/or hazardous material handling experience
