Spencer Ogden is supporting one of our clients in their search for a Logistics Specialist to join their team in Orlando, FL or Raleigh, NC. This will be a 1-year W2 contract.
This role will focus on managing the logistics of large equipment shipments from amanufacturing facility in Europe to the U.S. and customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide logistics support to the project team, including pricing, contracting, and delivery coordination.
Interface with sales teams to discuss logistics concepts, pricing, and delivery plans.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs for smooth transport and documentation.
Maintain clear communication with project managers and customers to ensure delivery timelines are met.
Develop and nurture supplier relationships and assist in onboarding.
What You’ll Need:
Strong project logistics experience, particularly with heavy shipments (50,000+ lbs).
Proven ability in customer service and customer-facing roles.
Knowledge of freight forwarding, trucking companies, and international logistics processes.
Understanding of INCOTERMS and their impact on pricing and risks.
At least 4 yearsof experience in logistics or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with international shipping and customs processes.
