2. About the Opportunity:
The Logistics Specialist role is central to managing afterhours customer operations, ensuring smooth shipment processes from pickup through delivery. This position impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by maintaining strong relationships, resolving issues promptly, and driving revenue and margin growth.
3. Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary afterhours contact for customers, ensuring excellent service and issue resolution.
• Manage customer shipments, including booking, tracking, and data entry into transportation systems.
• Prepare customer quotes, negotiate pricing with carriers and customers, balancing competitiveness and profitability.
• Identify and resolve shipment delays and operational problems through collaboration with internal teams.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as load count, revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction.
4. Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred.
• Experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, or customer service preferred.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems and logistics platforms such as McLeod, MercuryGate, DAT, Truckstop, and E2open preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Teams, Dialpad, and reporting tools like Power BI.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• $34/hr-$37.50/hr
