Detailed Description:

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

● Works to ensure import / export / domestic shipments and documentation are in compliance with applicable customs law.

● Acts as a liaison with customs offices. Collects and analyses logistics data for trends and potential cost savings.

● Evaluates and selects carriers for shipment of product. Analyses freight data for internal and external charges.

● Interfaces with customers to identify billing information.

● Responsible for the development and reengineering of processes related to border crossings.

● Provides leadership, expertise, guidance and training to the supply chain, commodity, procurement and program management functions, ensuring that the latest logistics practices and procedures are followed & complied.

● Interfaces with various levels of Celestica management to ensure processes are in place and working such that we maintain compliance with Logistics processes.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

● Good knowledge of an electronics manufacturing environment, material and processes.

● Expert understanding and interpretation of traffic and customs rules and regulations.

● Knowledge of basic computer applications such as WORD, Excel, PowerPoint and multiple business applications.

● Good understanding of internal and external customer requirements.

● Good financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.

● Ability to identify and resolve high complexity process/system problems using financial, analytical, and/or statistical models.

● Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.

● Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.

● Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.

Physical Demands:

● Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

● Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

● Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

● Occasional travel may be required

Typical Experience:

● Three to six years of relevant experience

Typical Education:

● Bachelor’s degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
